This scheme was constructed in 2012 with the external envelope consisting of a three different components;

All of the cavities within the building were full fill so the perceived risk was minimal following an initial review but there were a number of areas where remedial works were required. The first of which involved erecting a scaffold into the existing courtyard without compromising access for occupants. The remedial works to the render included adding
additional fire breaks in certain areas and making good without disturbing the texture of the pigmented system.

The most challenging part of the project was to add purpose made, galvanised fire collars around all of the service penetrations on all elevations. Including protrusions that were over adjoining owners land.

The final element that was required in order to make the scheme complaint and obtain an EWS1 certificate is that the obscure timber panels needed to be replaced on all terraces. This required a pre manufactured panel consisting of Galvanised Steel and Composite timber that had to be erected via the adjoining owners land.

Once works were completed the EWS1 Surveyor attended site and all works were approved.
